We are hiring for the role of .NET Backend Developer to support the SmarTrip Backend System. This is a hybrid position based in Washington, DC, and we prefer local candidates or those within 20 miles. Candidates with previous government or federal experience are highly preferred, and this role is open to USC and GC holders.
Position Details:
- Role: .NET Backend Developer – SmarTrip Backend System

Qualifications:
- 5+ Years experience with C#, .NET Core, and Oracle.
- Experience in methods, tools, and techniques for evaluating, developing, testing, and integrating systems software and hardware.
- Progressive responsibility in technical information systems and data processing management.
- Experience developing multi-tiered applications like web services, APIs, clustered environments, and database/application/report servers.
- Proficiency in software development and project management methodologies.
- Hands-on experience with General Orders Track Rights System and Site-Specific Work Plan application programs (Highly Desired).
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, TestRail, GIT, and related development tools (Highly Desired).
- Prior experience with applications like SmarTrip (Highly Desired).
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline is required.
- A Master’s degree in IT or an equivalent combination of education and experience is highly desired.
