We are actively seeking an Azure DevOps Engineer for a hybrid role in Chicago, IL. The position requires working onsite from Tuesday to Thursday (flexible within the week). This is a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned DevOps professional to join a dynamic team and work on cutting-edge technologies.

Position Details:

  • Job Title: Azure DevOps Engineer
  • Location: Chicago, IL (Hybrid, Onsite from Tuesday to Thursday)
  • Interview Process: Two rounds (1st: Screening, 2nd: Technical panel)
  • Employment Type: Contract

Key Responsibilities:

  • Solve complex technical challenges and develop new perspectives on existing solutions.
  • Exercise judgment and decision-making based on multiple sources of information.
  • Work independently within broad guidelines and deliver solutions on time.
  • Assist colleagues with less experience as a resource or consultant.
  • Develop microservice applications and work with Spring Boot for backend solutions.
  • Configure Zuul Gateway and implement credential vaulting technologies.
  • Write Junit test cases and manage Git Repos, CI/CD deployments, and Azure Cloud resources.
  • Create Terraform scripts for cloud infrastructure deployment.
  • Integrate applications with various databases (both on-prem and cloud-based).

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in information technology, especially in DevOps roles.
  • Hands-on experience in Azure Cloud and Terraform for cloud infrastructure.
  • Proficiency with Java, Spring Boot, Webservices, API Development, HTML/CSS, and front-end frameworks like React, Angular, or Node.js.
  • Experience with Git Actions, CI/CD, OAuth, Junit, and various database platforms (Oracle, MySQL, etc.).
  • Knowledge of Graph APIs and vaulting technologies.
  • Familiarity with both on-premise and cloud-based integration practices.
