Join the Best Buy Fulfillment, Availability, and Button State Team to optimize shipping, delivery, and in-store services! We’re looking for a skilled Java Microservices Developer with expertise in Spring, REST services, and Kafka.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and configure Java REST services using Java 8, 11, and 17, Groovy, Spring Boot, and Spring JPA.
- Design and maintain microservices interacting with Apache Kafka for message production/consumption.
- Dockerize applications for local development and manage services via Docker containers.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
- Ensure code quality with tools like SonarQube and Checkmarx, and write high-quality test cases with JUnit and Spock.
Technical Requirements
- Experience: 5-7 years in Java/J2EE microservices development.
- Proficiency in caching mechanisms like EHCache, Redis, or Memcached.
- Database management experience with Oracle and Cassandra.
- Expertise in version control using GitHub and IDEs like IntelliJ/Eclipse.
- Familiarity with UNIX commands and tools like PUTTY for installations/configurations.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with GCP functions and CI practices.
- Strong debugging skills for production issues, including memory leak analysis.
- Adaptability to learn and implement new technologies.
